It is always standing right behind us, just out of view. The Shadow is a psychological term for everything we can't see in ourselves. It controls our actions, behavior, and worldview based on old experiences. Most of them are outdated and you would laugh or be horrified by what stands behind your interaction with the world.

A common mistake people make when thinking about the Shadow is to think that it is made up entirely of ‘negative,’ shameful aspects of ourselves that we are trying to repress. Learning to allow shadow elements of ourselves to come into the light and be recognized is a large aspect of the healing journey.

The problem with the Shadow is that if we do not recognize it as existing and work on bringing it into the light, it controls us much more and the only way it can manifest is through projections. What we do not accept as part of ourselves, we tend to unconsciously project onto others.

When we are able to accept and assimilate our Shadow, we accept ourselves on a deeper level, we can forgive our shortcomings and liberate the creative energy that was blocked in repressing the parts of our Shadow that are ready to be integrated.

If we stop trying to be perfect and recognize that becoming whole is more important than we move one step further on the journey towards individuation. Learn more and understand the benefits of working with Shadow.

The kit includes:

  • Dreaming Tea: 4 tea bags (2 grams of Calea Sacatechichi each) to bridge your conscious and subconscious by receiving important information through your dreams
  • 15 ml bottle of Shadow Flower Essence formula for self-realization and to reveal what is hidden from your awareness
  • 2 ml roller bottle of Shadow Aroma Roll-On

IMPORTANT: Shadow work is best done under the supervision of a trained psychologist or experiential therapy professional. There is a big part that needs to be done alone and can only be done by you, for example paying attention to messages from the body and your subconscious. But the help of professionals is invaluable in interpreting the symbolism, guiding through false beliefs and nailing the new state of adult consciousness so you can act as your True Self

  • Mexican Dream Herb (Calea zacatechichi) Calea Zacatechichi is a dream herb that is scientifically shown to increase dream recall, dream intensity and hypnagogic imagery. Historically, Calea is a plant used by the Chontal Indians of Mexico to obtain divinatory messages during dreaming.

Calea zacatechichi seems to have an effect on sleep that may cause lengthening of shallow sleep patterns, increased dream remembrance, and increased sleep awakenings throughout the night.

This herb is for any dream explorer who wants to experience a richer dream life.

Even people who don't normally remember any dreams at all encounter vivid and detailed dreams when they take Calea. This herb is something to consider if you have real problems with your dream recall, and are looking to immerse yourself and get closer to your dream world.

This herb is also used as a digestive tonic! It has a bitter flavor, like a combination of dandelion and artichoke leaf. In Mexico it is also used as a gastro-intestinal tonic for digestive relief as well as to ward off parasites.

Place 1 teabag (contains 2 grams of Calea zacatechichi) into a cup or teapot. Pour over 8oz of boiling water, cover and steep for 10 minutes. The taste is bitter so add a sweetener if needed. Drink before bedtime. Start with 1 teabag and you may increase to 2 teabags with time if you can't achieve desired effect.
